Ghrai DeVore
Ailey II

Ghrai DeVore, recipient of the Dizzy Feet Scholarship for 2009-2010, received critical acclaim for her performances with Ailey II this year:

“The most beguiling presence is Ghrai DeVore, a nimble… creature … whose strength is tempered by suppleness.”
-Gia Kourlas, The New York Times
“(Ghrai DeVore) A nearly frictionless performer, she seems exceptionally mature.”
-Robert Johnson, The Star-Ledger<
“…the remarkable Ghrai DeVore…one you’re not likely to forget.”
-Tobi Tobias, ArtsJournal<
“ DeVore rivets your eyes the movement she sets a foot, delicate but sure, on the stage. Just physically, she’s stunning. In action, DeVore is vehemently expressive, yet subtle in detail. No, she’s not on her way to stardom. She is already a star.”
-Tobi Tobias, ArtsJournal
